Working a Trade show booth can be lots of hard work and exhausting but if you have a good show, it all can be worth it.   In my opinion, the real work is the pre-show efforts to get quality leads to your booth for the actual show. Good pre show tools are email blast, face to face sales and targeting markets in groups. Having the proper literature to handout about your company is very crucial. People will likely remember you after the show with something that they can take home with them.

Getting people into the booth is critical. It could be by approaching them in the walkway and beginning to talk to them, or if it’s some sample part that is sitting on the table that can catch someone’s eye. Once they are in the booth talking to them about the product and showing them various items to spark their interest.

After show work is essential in generating quality leads and RFQ’s. This ends up turning into business over time. It sometimes takes a few weeks or possibly leads into the following year. Rating leads from the show A, B, C, D is also key with A’s being your best leads. This way when you get back you know which leads to act on immediately with a follow up.

Some of our best customers have come from leads at trade shows. Doherty Associates will be working the Design 2 Part Grapevine, TX Show with Seaway Plastics Engineering March 13-14, 2019. Come by and visit booth #332.
